Commonly Used Radiographic Nondestructive Testing Methods (Classification of Weld Quality)

1、Radiographic inspection method. The main principle of the radiographic flaw detection method is to use the ray emitted by the ray source to penetrate the weld seam, photosensitive on the film, and the image of the weld seam defect will be displayed.

2、Ultrasonic flaw detection inspection method. Compared with radiographic flaw detection, ultrasonic flaw detection has certain advantages, such as high sensitivity, low cost, short cycle, high efficiency, and mainly harmless to human body. 3. Penetration inspection method. The main inspection principle of the penetrant inspection method is to coat the surface of the inspected weld with a pigment or phosphor penetrant, so that it penetrates into the opening defects, cleans up the excess penetrant, and applies a color developer after drying, so as to observe the defect traces.

4. Magnetic flaw detection inspection method. Magnetic inspection method and penetrant inspection method are both a kind of surface quality inspection methods of weldment, which are mainly used to inspect the surface and nearby surface defects.
